Journalist

I’m interested in revealing the tales of intrigue and drama happening behind closed doors at Canada’s largest organizations. I have bylines in CBC News, The Ottawa Citizen, Capital Current and The Charlatan. I also blog extensively on Medium.com, where I write about internet culture, cryptocurrency and climate change.

I studied International Relations and English at the University of Toronto. I also obtained a Masters of English Literature from the University of Toronto. After graduation I worked in communications roles at the Canadian embassy in Washington, D.C. and at the Alberta Premier’s Office. Following that I worked at several tech start ups out of Calgary, Alberta before moving on to a fundraising position at an Internet rights start up. I then immersed myself in the eCommerce and digital marketing space, navigating the turbulent post IPO days at Shopify for two and a half years as a growth marketer. My last bout in tech was as a senior digital marketing manager for EasyShip, an eCommerce shipping app.
